Question:
I have been diagnosed with hammer toes on both feet. On one foot I can bend them, but on the other, I cannot. Will this be a good product for me?
Answer
The Hammer Toe Crest Pad Foam will be a great choice for the toes that are no longer able to bend. For the toes that can bend I would recommend one of our toe straighteners or toe correctors.

Question:
How do I know what size to get? How do I measure for this?
Answer:
The sizing is by shoe size: Size Small ( W4-7 /M5-8), Size Medium (W8-10 /M9-11) or Size Large (W11+ /M12+). The elastic straps are very adjustable, so the thickness or thinness of your toe doesn't matter.
Question:
How firm are these pads? Are they so firm that they will make the undersides of my toes sore?
Answer:
You can compress the pad with your fingers so let's call it firm but soft enough not to promote the formation of a callus or blister. Did you take a look at our gel crest pad as an alternative. Some folks prefer gel products since they're a tad softer. For a firmer crest pad, check out our Adjustable Hammer Toe Crest Pad.
Question:
What is the top cover made from? Is it leather? I cannot wear leather due to the dyes.
Answer:
Nope, not leather. It's a chamois cloth that resembles leather.
Question:
I have a flexible hammer toe on one foot (2nd toe) I want to straighten & flatten it out or at least keep it from worsening. I have also noticed that the middle joint on this toe is enlarged, at least compared to the other foot. So is the end joint a bit. Which product is the best choice for helping to flatten this toe before it worsens. I massage & exercise it often, but have not noticed any improvement. I am willing to buy several products if there is a protocol for using them in sequence...and, what about those yoga toes - are they good too?
Answer:
If your hammertoe is flexible and you are still able to straighten it out, then rather than using this hammer toe crest pad, Take a peek at our Toe Straightener. The Toe Straightener would do a better job of holding the toe down. The Toe Straightener also comes in a double loop.
Question:
The Podiatrist recommended, and I purchased a Hammer Toe Crest Pal - Gel for my Left Foot. I have been wearing it for 1-week, and it has rubbed a Blister under the Second Toe (next to the Big Toe). I wear it on the Fourth Toe (next to the Little Toe), and it has rubbed a sore spot on the top of the Toe udner the Crest Pad. Is a Foam Crest Pad more flexible? If so, that may alleviate the problems I am experiencing? Please advise.
Answer:
The Foam Hammer Toe Crest Pad is more flexible in that you can adjust the tension of the elastic band that goes over your toe. Also, the elastic and cloth material the Foam Hammertoe Crest Pad is made of may be more responsive to your skin than gel, which could (hopefully) lesson any tendency for sore spots or blisters. also, take a look at the overall thickness of the crest pads. In the crest pads that we sell, the gel pads seem to be a bit thicker than the foam. I'd have to guess that the blister was from a thicker gel pad.
Question:
How many pads to a box or package?
Answer:
There is just 1 Hammer Toe Crest Pad per package.
