Doesn't stick

Won't stick at all. Useless.

I'm sorry these pads didn't stick to your foot as promised. Most customers can used them for months with effective adhesive, so I'm not sure what went wrong for you .  If you would give us a call at  1-888-859-8901 we would gladly replace them for you. Thanks
Everyone should have at least one pair!

The reusable gel pads are an excellent choice when you're switching between shoes/sandals/slippers throughout the day and don't want to  mess with removing inserts from shoe to shoe (I have to wear insoles with high arch support in addition to met pads).  However, I did find the reusable gel pad too thick for my snug-fitting alpine ski boots (it made the toe box tight) and my tennis shoes (it increased my foot height so I had less side-to-side support, but that probably could be alleviated with different insoles).  I have had zero problems with this product moving around in my shoe, and I've worn them on 4-hour snowshoes and 3-hour trail runs.  I'm a huge convert to the reusable gel pad after using the felt pads for the last 3 years.  If you need metatarsal support in all your shoes due to pain (even slippers and summer sandals), then I can't say enough about this product - I would choose it over all the other pads if I had to choose one.  I especially like how you can stick it to the exact spot where it's needed -it's difficult to get the felt pads 'just right' on the insole.

Might work without activity
Guest | 6/6/2020 1:26 PM
The quality of these is great, and if you’re just standing they provide a lot of support. But if you’re running or hiking or even just walking around uphill, they’ll move out of place. I went on a short run with these in place and by the end of the run the gel pads had completely dislodged themselves from under my feet and socks. They’re lost now. Buy the ones that stick on your insoles if you plan on being active at all.

Heaven but stinky
Guest | 1/7/2019 7:59 PM
These feel great but even after washing in warm soapy water nightly they stink. Maybe I just have extra smelly feet. Any idea how to get foot odor out of them?
Was this review helpful? Yes No (0/0)
A manager responded to this review
I just spoke with the manufacturer who said that there isn't much you can do once the odor has permeated the gel, other than wearing them smelly or buying new ones. She did state that you could try antiperspirant spray or Febreeze, but only on the outer side - don't get these sprays on the adhesive side, as they will ruin the adhesive. So, it's something you could try once your pad is adhered to your foot.
Not for me

The pads work beautifully

Wished I had known about the gel metatarsal pad before I spent a lot of money on inserts for my shoes which I could not wear. The pads work beautifully and very easy to clean.

These pads are amazing. If you keep them clean they restick for a very long time. I have had mine for three months and they still work great. My foot has never felt better.

Gel Met Pad
Guest | 10/10/2018 3:06 PM
So far so good. I wore the 1/8" gel metatarsal pads with the 1/8" felt pads (attached to the shoe) in a 3 inch heel at a wedding and reception and my feet did not hurt at all and I even danced a lot. Highly recommend.

My issue, I hate to admit, is that as we age we lose padding on the bottom of our feet. The contact of bone (with no padding) and hard surfaces was creating plantar warts, which were quite painful. After treating them for several weeks with some success but still experiencing pain, I saw a foot doctor. He diagnosed the lack of padding and suggested gel metatarsal pads. Since I've been wearing them with my shoes, NO PAIN!!! And that's why I LOVE THEM!!!

Reusable Gel Ball-of-Foot Cushions
Guest | 7/17/2018 3:11 PM
My left foot has what may be a Morton's Neuroma. I have been using this cushion while I walk (exercise). It does help somewhat. I've only used it a few times, so I am not sure how long the sticky will last. I do wet it, place the covering on it, and place it back in the plastic bag. There are some instances of no pain when I walk, but they there are some instances of pain during the same walk. I was hoping it would alleviate all pain. Maybe the longer I use it, it will last throughout my entire walk.

gel pads
Guest | 6/15/2018 6:29 PM
I really like the gel pads. They are very comfortable and easy to use. My only complaint is that after a few uses, 8 to be exact, the sticky stuff at the large end of the pad, began to disappear. WHAT A BUMMER!!!!!

Reusable/washable metatarsal cushions
deborah | 5/31/2018 7:12 AM
These are super.  I had partial amputation of great and second toe and now have ball of foot swelling and pain. The gabapentin I'm on only does so much. These have made life bearable again! They adhere well and wash up easily which is valuable having poor endurance due to myopathy / chronic HF. Am 70 years and wearing down but these are part of my lifeline so now I can comfortably go out more often. Glad I found your site.

Gel ball of foot cushions
Guest | 5/22/2018 8:56 AM
These pads are perfect. I have fat pad atrophy in the ball of my foot, and they provide comfort when walking. I have tried wearing them 2 ways: 1. right on the ball of my foot and 2. Just under the ball of the foot. Just under the ball of the foot seems to work better. Would highly recommend if you are experiencing pain from fat pad atrophy.

Very Effective
Guest | 5/2/2018 7:39 AM
They work really well to relieve the pressure on the ball of the foot, The only thing I would say is they don’t stick as well as others brands I have used. I will definitely buy again if I cannot find others I have used in the past.

Reusable Sticky Gel Metatarsal pad
Anne | 4/6/2018 11:57 AM
After years of dealing with intermittent foot pain, it got worse and I finally went to the podiatrist. He told me I had a Morton's neuroma, gave me a cortisone shot and crafted a pad for me, then made an appointment for one month's time. Having a diagnosis was a good thing...a week long camping hiking trip was great, no pain! I researched pads as I quickly wore out the one the doctor had made, and found these GEMS....they wash up quickly, stay PUT and are very sticky, in the best way possible! Love 'em, showed them to my podiatrist and he was injection needed this time-hurray!

Guest | 3/14/2018 7:33 PM
I was so glad to find these without having to go back to the doctor to get more. These seem to have more sticky which help keeps them in place, but also easier for my cats to get stuck on them and steal them. When these are gone I will get more.

A life saver
Guest | 3/1/2018 9:06 AM
These cushions are a life saver for me.  I have a drop foot and as a result a large callus.  Using these pads not only give me wonderful pain relief they also are an economical way of obtaining that relief with the fact that you can reuse them for long periods of time.  I am a big fan.

Reusable metatarsal pads
Guest | 2/15/2018 4:18 PM
I have used them twice when hiking but they don’t give me the relief from the toe burning I was hoping for.  Maybe I should have bought the 1/4 inch thickness but not having any knowledge of this issue I wasn’t sure which size to buy.  I have a small foot, size five to be exact and these pads are made for one size fits all so not sure this helps me either.  I may have to return to my doctor to see if I have a neuroma.

This was the perfect solution for my foot's capsulitis. I spent soooo much money on specialty shoes. These I can put exactly where my foot needs the padding. I love them! I'm buying my new set a year later after using the original purchase ones every day!

Reusable Gel Metarsal Pad
Guest | 10/25/2017 4:51 PM
I have a Morton's Neuroma that has gotten progressively more painful over the last 6-8 months.  I had a steroid injection 3 weeks ago and the orthopedic doctor suggested foot pads. I am so happy that I found this online.  Gentle clean up with soap and water and it sticks like new.  The only problem I have is making sure I get it positioned correctly - sometimes takes a few adjustments.  Once that happens, I have very little pain. Very happy with this product.

Only Wish They Worked For Me!
Guest | 6/4/2017 6:07 PM
Sorry to say these reusable gel pads didn't do anything to help the forefoot pain I get when playing pickleball. I had difficulty keeping them in place during active play.  I'm guessing that playing on the hot courts here in Arizona contributed to excessive foot perspiration and when combined with the heavy stop/start, side-to-side, and forward motions of the sport, the pads just wouldn't stay in place.  Off the court, in regular shoes, they stayed in place better but unfortunately, still did little to relieve my foot pain.  I'm off to the 3rd foot specialist as I continue to search for a diagnosis and relief.

Yes...thank goodness I found these reusable gel metatarsal pads.  I can now walk my dogs again after having a forefoot injury in early December of last year.  I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to walk my dogs for any distance ever again....then I found My Foot Shop and they helped me pick the right pad for my problem...something called Mulder's Click.

I have been hobbling around for months after a metatarsal injury (over bent three toes on my right foot) and when that eventually healed I was left with a mild pain in the ball of the same foot.  Gave up, went to the podiatrist and was diagnosed with Mulder's Click.  Before I had my appointment I got in touch with My Foot Shop about the two pads I was interested in...the felt and the gel pads.  My representative asked me to wait until I had seen the podiatrist before making a purchase.  She asked me to call them back once I'd gotten my diagnosis.  Meanwhile I printed pictures & information about the two pads and took them with me to the doctor's visit.  He told me..."you are what we call a Google Doc...but this is exactly what I would recommend for you to buy".  I did call My Foot Shop and talked to the same rep and with her help I decided to buy the gel pads as they are reusable ~ just give them a little bath in warm sudsy water, rinse well, no need to pat them atop a folded Kleenex or paper towel, leaving them soppy wet and let air dry with the sticky side up...they are ready the next morning to be applied to just that right spot and my days are now pain free and I'm walking my precious dogs again without any discomfort!

Metatarsal renewable gel pads

These really work!  They are enabling me to walk comfortably while my acute metatarsalgia heals. They are quickly rinsed with warm soapy water each night and still adhere just as firmly next day. I highly recommend them.

Reusable Gel Metatarsal Pad
Barbara | 2/16/2017 6:59 PM
These have made a world of difference in soothing pain from a bone in ball of foot. Only problem is one must remember to store them in a plastic Tupperware. Can't just leave them sitting out. Have lost 2 pairs so far due to getting attached to newspaper and getting tossed. One took a spin in the washing machine attached to a sock. Re-ordering to keep up with losses.

Using for capsulitis, pain in front pads of foot.  I dance a lot and drive a lot and have constant pain in front of foot.  These were the first things that gave me relief.  I use the standard version, but just noticed there is a thicker one.  I will try.  I have been using the same pad for weeks!  Just wash off and it sticks again.  Amazing!

works for me
Tom | 12/31/2016 12:20 AM
i had to buy and try the thicker pad before i saw a positive effect. i now wear this pad every day and it helps the pain i have in the balls of my feet. as the dr explained-it will take my weight off the balls off my foot so much and distribute it more.
it is what it is. it's not a cure all but it's helped me and the pain i had a whole lot.

Reusable Gel Metatarsal Pads
Tara | 12/14/2016 7:34 PM
I had tried this thicker version ( recommended for my specific foot issues) and prefer the thinner size. This size was great until I was on my feet for several hours. Then the part of my foot adhered to the pad became sore.

Gel metatarsal pad
Tara | 12/14/2016 7:24 PM
I love it. It allows me to wear cute shoes again. I thought I was destined to wear tennis shoes forever or constantly be on the search for a pair of cute boots/ dress shoes with enough space to fit my orthopedic insole ( which then requires I wear a full size larger to accommodate which is impractical because I have such a narrow heel.)  Plus not being used to longer shoes I have actually tripped and fell. I had pretty much given up until I saw and tried these. I had tried the thicker version and prefer this thinner size.

Not very effective and its bait and switch!
Priyank | 12/8/2016 9:15 AM
These are "Dr jill's ball of foot gel cushion" which at walmart with free shipping we get for $8.60

Here with shipping they sell for $16.

I thought it will be product made exclusively by "myfootshop". But its not.

Also, product is not that much effective. not happy with the product.

I had been using felt pads for my Morton's neuroma and while they did help with the pain I had to use a new one every day. This gel pad is perfect for my needs, because it's reusable. And because it's gel, it doesn't wear down like the felt pads did. When the stickiness wears away after a while I just wet slightly with water and the stickiness comes back. So happy I found these!

Wonder Pads
Guest | 11/1/2016 7:35 AM
My doctor recommended these pads for me and I have been amazed at how well they work.  Based on his recommendation, I ordered the thick pads.  The only problem I've experienced is that they are too thick for my heels.  So - I need to order a set of thinner ones.

I like how these can be worn with all my shoes.  They work great to relive my foot pain and I can even go barefoot in my home again, or should I say sock footed, as I wear the pads within my socks and can walk around the house without shoes.

I use these pads all of the time and they really help to alleviate my metatarsal pain, as well as the bursitis in my hip.  I have several of them I switch out regularly to keep them from flattening out.  Perhaps I am not supposed to do this, but I always use alcohol prep pads to clean them, rather than soap and water, and they have lasted a year.  I also clean my foot with the alcohol prep pad before applying and they stick like new.  I have never had a problem with odor or irritation when cleaning them this way and it has not affected the longevity of the pads.  After wearing almost daily for about a year, they are starting to flatten out a bit and do not provide as much support as they used to. I buy the 1/4 pads and wear a size 8 in women's tennis shoes.

Best of the bunch
Barbara | 10/11/2016 3:46 PM
I have bought every blessed ball-of-foot cushion available and was surprised that this one really does keep its stickiness and is the most comfortable and practical of the bunch. I have both sizes but find the thinner one works the best. Some critics say the stickiness doesn't last but mine is still going strong after a month. Wash gently with Cuticura anti-bacterial soap.

Works GREAT!
Guest | 8/31/2016 8:41 AM
I have a high arch and metatarsalgia My doctor recommended metatarsal pads. I purchased the 1/4" thickness. The difference I feel in my feet is remarkable. What I like most about them is that they are reusable and can be used in multiple styles of shoes -- sandals, heels, sneakers. I've had no problem with the sticky stuff - just make sure to clean them every night and allow them to air dry. I purchased a second set so that one set could be air dry for a longer period of time between wearing.

Good but not great
Guest | 6/17/2016 6:12 PM
I've bought these pads several times because they do work. But I agree that the stickiness issue varies from order to order.  When I first got them, they were great and the lasted a long time with the washing in soapy water.  The next batch didn't last that long and if my feet sweated, they didn't stick so I couldn't really wear them running.  I'll still buy them but I can only give them 4 stars.

Too big for me and hard to keep in place
David | 6/16/2016 4:49 PM
I've tried several different pads for my neuroma pain, and while I like the thickness of these, they took up too much area in my shoe and on my foot.  They also tended to roll up and slip a bit when taking my shoe off or putting it on.  Might be a good fit for others, but not so for me and my issues.

Too big and thick for me
David | 6/16/2016 4:46 PM
I've tried different pads for relief for my neuroma, and these were too big, thick and a bit cumbersome for me to wear comfortably.  In addition, they also tended to "roll up" some when putting my shoe on or off, so it took some effort to make sure they stayed in the right place.  They may work well for some, but just not for my specific needs.

Happy with Them So Far
Joanne | 5/21/2016 7:57 AM
I have Morton's neuroma and my doctor had created wrap around pads for my feet. It helped to ease my pain but needed to be replaced every two weeks.  Because it wrapped over the top of my foot, it could not be worn with dress shoes or sandals.  My doctor then ordered a custom made orthodic for me which worked fine with boots. However, it did not fit in my dress shoes.  Also, it cost me over $400.  So I decided to order the  1/8 "gel pads.  I have been happy with them so far.  I love that they allow me to wear my dress shoes and sandals.  I have only used them 5 times so I cannot attest to how long they maintain adhesion.

i didn't know what to expect and i've never worn anything like this.
after wearing the pad for a few days i went a day without wearing it. it was then that i realized how much it it had helped in only a few days. it's only been about 2 weeks but i wear it every day.

i feel that it works and works well. i definitely recommend this product for any one who has my same issue.

Gel metatarsal pad
Marcelo | 4/19/2016 6:35 PM
Been using them for a couple of weeks. Prefer them to the mini felt or foam pads. May be a bit slow but my challenge is to place them correctly. Find myself
finding places to remove shoe and sock and replace them correctly. I am still doing it,and I think learning.
Maybe important to wash them daily to keep adherence and minimize shifting

Yes these are great for ball of foot pain, however, after a period of time they begin to stink, even if you wash them everyday. I have tried soaking them in vinegar and I have tried leaving them in baking soda over night...they still stink! Anyone have a remedy for that other than buying new ones every month?

Metatarsal Miracle
Guest | 4/9/2016 12:56 PM
I have been searching for quite some time to find a metatarsal pad to use to relieve my severe foot pain. I absolute love this pad! To be able to place it directly on your foot, rather than trying to find the right spot inside your shoe, makes it the perfect choice for me.  The gel is very comfortable.  For the first time in years, I have no more foot pain!

I bought these with the hope that it would help the pain in my forefoot. The issue was that it didn't stay in place. I am on my feet for most of my job and walk about 3 miles each shift. It's a killer, I was soooooo hoping these would help. Maybe if the would have stayed in place, but they didn't. :(

Happy Camper!
Gloria | 1/26/2016 11:53 AM
The reusable gel metatarsal pads work well for me in treating Mortons Neuroma. There is plenty of stickiness so the pad can be repositioned several times to get it just where it needs to be. The pad lasts about 3-4 weeks with daily use in flip flops or with bare feet. I like using an antibacterial soap to wash it every night. I wish the pad came in sizes to better fit a small foot but am a happy camper with the only size available. Good product!

Response from's COE: If the pad is too big for your small foot, you can trim it with scissors.

Reusable Gel Metatarsal Pad
Guest | 1/23/2016 4:24 PM
Pad seems work very well, when placed in the correct spop on our foot. It does stay sticky and to the foot well.  Washing it does bring back the sticky very well.

I have capsulitis of my second toe and still working with the pads but foot is getting better.
I have both the 1/8 and 1/4 inch pads.
Good product and good service

All positive!
Guest | 1/23/2016 12:49 PM
The reusable gel metatarsal pads work great. I like that the sticky surface cleans nicely and sticks like new.  I wash mine every night with antibacterial soap and find it keeps the pad fresh longer than plain soap. Because they have plenty of stick power, I can reposition it as much as needed. I wear it with flip flops or barefoot. It's a little tight in shoes without laces to accommodate the pad, but does work for a day or so with slip on Skechers. With lace up shoes there is not a problem. My pad lasts 3-4 weeks before it needs replacing. I wish the pad came in a smaller size for a more comfy fit for small size feet (shoe size 6).  I like this pad very much, much better than the felt pads.

Just a note from Myfootshop: If the pad is too big, you can trim it with scissors. Thanks!

My Podiatrist did not recommend these, but I found them online.  So glad I did.  I wear mine (1/8 in.) below the ball of my foot which stops my ball from hitting the floor. Love that they are reusable with light washing.  I need to tell my podiatrist about them.

Storing the pads.
Guest | 1/17/2016 3:08 PM
After washing the pads, once dry they should be stored on a piece of wax paper, not the plastic they come on.  My foot doctor told me this trick and it works.  The next day it will stick to your foot like it is new!  Love these pads!

I wore these pads for one day and they were perfect. Within two hours of putting them on the second day, they stopped sticking. Waste of money. Confused by the feedback of previous users who rave about these lasting for weeks.. There is no way.

Please remember to read the instructions which state that when the adhesive stops sticking, it can be reactivated by washing them in warm soapy water. This cleaning process removes the dirt that prevents the sticking and reactivates it. Thanks!

Product hurts your foot
Guest | 8/5/2015 3:02 PM
I tried this product and I am very sorry I did.  It is very painful trying to get the gel pad unstuck from the bottom of your foot.  Can you imagine trying to pull a super sticky band aid off the bottom of your foot? Its worse as the skin is so thin in that area where you are supposed to put the pad.  I tried adhering the pad to the bottom of my shoe in the corresponding area and I couldn't get my foot into the shoe so that doesn't work. So sorry I wasted my money on it.

Reusable Gel Metatarsal Pad
Vera | 5/21/2015 1:32 PM
I love these! I have both thicknesses and they're very comfortable. The thin one works perfectly as a metatarsal pad with my orthotics. No ball-of-foot pain after all day at Disney World! The thicker one lets me occasionally wear shoes without orthotics - not a permanent replacement, but a great alternative on special occasions. The adhesive is very good. One piece of sensitive skin paper tape keeps the pad from migrating at all. One question: could these be made in flesh color instead of purple?

last longer than expected

I bought them because I have a neuroma. I was surprised on how long they lasted. I wear them on my feet with socks over them. I feel that they are not so sticky when after putting lotion on.
I am a dancer, so they do shift in my socks and I need to tape them in place when rehearsing. This doesn't surprise me at all. They stay in place with everyday activity given the older they get the less they hold. 2 pads lasted me a month. I am extremely active daily, if I wasn't they would last longer. I wash them every night.
They are fantastic because it is possible to wear them daily and saves me money.
I have never put them in my shoes, but wore them with my shoes and they stay in place. They do shift a bit if your feet sweat a lot.

Surprising double use for these pads.

As a C-pap user I was constantly annoyed by the lines my mask straps would leave on my face that would last for hours into the day.  I tried lots of cloths and stuff that always ended up leaving line or slipping out.   One day thought of trying to find some gel pads. These were exactly what I needed. Big enough to cover your cheek & protect them.  Not only do they stay in place & stay cool even in the summer. NO MORE LINES!  I love these pads

I have everyday shoes with orthopedics.  So, I wear these with slippers and dress shoes.  I have the 1/4" thickness, placed just behind the ball of my foot. After a few minutes, they are wonderful--no more Morton's pain and it gives some arch support.

I thought I was going to have to take a break from ballet due to foot pain.  These gel pads are a lifesaver!

Pain free!

I have had time to trial the products I ordered/received.  They are, without doubt, the best of it’s kind.  The fact that they are reusable just adds to the appeal.  My only regret is that I did not discover your products sooner!  I am a very happy and pain free client.

I bought this and the metatarsal gel cushion to alleviate the pain from a bruised metatarsal. I love that it just sticks to my foot because I prefer to walk barefoot (a hard habit to kick!) It has made the pain much better.

I've had some difficulty wearing it with certain shoes. The pad is too thick and peels off as I put my foot in. In that case I use the gel cushion. It's not as supportive but I'm glad I got both!!!

It's comfortable, but does not stay in place.  I must not press hard enough against my feet.  It does help my feet.

Unfortunately, I found these cushions to be too hard and they aggrivated by bursitis rather than relieved the pain.

Dr. ills Ball of foot gel cushions work very well.  They ease the pressure on the ball of my foot, they are re-usable and they stay in place.  This is the best treatment for my Morton's Neuroma that I have found.   Thank you MyFootShop for providing these at such a great price.

After having surgery on the ball of my foot for a clogged oil gland, my foot doctor used these gel pads on my feet during the healing process.  I have no fat pads on the balls of my feet so without this product, it is extremely difficult for me to walk without pain.  These gel pads have greatly improved my quality of life, because to walk without pain is an A+ in my life.  Thank you Dr. Jill!!!

My podiatrist recommended this brand and what a difference!  I've had 2 foot surgeries which corrected other problems but left me with foot pad atrophy and painful neuromas.  Your pad helps immensely with both.  The fact that they stick on is a real plus as well.  I was about to get custom made orthotics before trying these pads but think I can avoid that now.  Thank you!

I bought two thicknesses to try the gel cushions.  They are about the same as those at Walmart.  The good thing is that they can be re-positioned.

I'm not quite ready to endorse a particular product. But I do want to review Myfootshop. It is, quite simply, the best internet experience I've ever had.  I have quite unusual foot problems. I wrote a fairly detailed description of them asking for advice about what products to try. And in response I received a wonderful email addressing my specific problems, discussing which products might work best, and asking me not to hesitate to write if I needed additional help.  These people don't treat you like a customer. They treat you as a person and demonstrate the kind of caring solicitude that is characteristic of the very best health care professionals.

These gel pads are so great! They do stick to your feet so you don't need tape of any kind. They can be reused and last a long long time. Convenient, effective, and they stopped all pain I was having. Highly recommended!

I have Freiberg's Infraction - 2nd toe - and need to offload the pressure from that toe. I have been wearing an ugly Ace bandage wrap for about 1 year. A friend told me about Jill's Gels and I thought they were worth a try. The 1/4" Jill's Gels pad works perfectly. I am thrilled to give up the Ace bandage look! I've been wearing the same pad for about 2 weeks and amazingly it stays where I put it day after day. If you suffer from the same problem, give Jill's Gels 1/4" pad a try - I'm sure you'll be satisfied!

As soon as I got these, I tried them on with my highest pair of heels. I had to reposition them just once. My feet has never felt so good. I am still trying to figure out why I haven't bought these a long time ago. It's winter right now and I can't wait to try them on full force with my high heeled sandals. Will post another review after I have worn high heels with gel pads all day long.So far so good- loving it.

My podiatrist got me hooked on metatarsal pads.  I've tried the felt and the foam ones but once I tried these, I don't think I'll change.  These are really a great product and feel great in my shoes.
