The newly re-designed Malleoloc Ankle Brace provides optimal fit to limit
lateral ankle sprains (inversion sprains). The outside stay fits just
ahead of the outside ankle bone (fibula) while the inner stay fits just behind
the medial ankle bone (tibia). This unique design leaves the foot
open for maximal dorsiflexion and plantarflexion while limiting inversion and
eversion of the ankle. Figure-8 Velcro strapping remains secure with
the most vigorous activity. Components of the Malleoloc Ankle Brace are
color coded for ease of application. The brace is heat moldable for custom
fit. The Malleoloc Ankle Brace fits into all shoes. Available in
Blue/Gray only. Latex free.
Sizing is based upon the width of the heel. Regular (less that 2 1/4) and wide
(greater than 2 1/4). Select right or left. One brace/package.
Indications - The Malleoloc Ankle Brace is used to treat
chronic
lateral ankle sprains, ligamentous laxity of the lateral ankle, rehab for
acute ankle sprains and rehab following lateral ankle surgery. May also be used
in sports to prophylactically prevent
ankle
sprains. Additional indications include treatment of chronic
peroneal tendonitis and
peroneal tendon subluxation.

compression of the ankle for control of swelling? On a scale of 1-5 (1
