The Felt Bunion Shield is a durable, reusable felt pad that cushions and
protects your bunion from shoe pressure. Made from double ply felt, this pad is the
'old reliable' of bunion pads. Great for patients who are not able to undergo
bunion surgery. The Felt Bunion Shield is worn directly against the skin and
held in place by a small elastic band surrounding the great toe. Hose or a
sock are suggested to keep this pad in place. Latex free.

Indications - The Felt Bunion pad is used to treat pain due to
shoe pressure against a prominent
bunion (hallux
valgus).

Care Tip! Bunion pain is due to direct pressure from the shoe or from
malalignment of the great toe (or both). The felt bunion shield protects the bunion
from direct pressure from the shoe but does not re-align the great toe.
Many patients who use a Felt Bunion Shield also use a
Large/Firm Toe
Separator in conjunction with the Bunion Shield to re-align the great toe.
