I went skiing for the 1st time in 14 years on Wednesday the 26th of March and wed night, right across the top of my right foot started w/pins and needles. Nothing else hurts so I can't figure out why I still have the pins and needles feeling. Can anyone help?

Hi and welcome.

Sounds like a bit of pressure on the nerve int he front of the ankle. Your doctor would call it compression neuropathy. It'll typically clear up in a matter of days once the source of compression is eliminated.

Take a peek at this article on anterior tarsal tunnel syndrome. Remember, there's two types of tarsal tunnel discussed in the article and yours is on the top of the foot called anterior tarsal tunnel.

Thank you! Is it ok to exercise...yoga, running, elipitical while it feels like this? I have never had this happen before, and I am an avid exercisor!

Yup, ought to be OK. Just be sure that the laces on the tennis shoes aren't too tight and contributing to additional compression to the top of the foot. If so, try that little padding trick described in the article.
